Le Quartier Latin

Today was a fabulous day! I got all of my homework done, went to class, did a walk with some peeps from the program at the Latin Quarter, and had dinner with my host family! The only negative about today was that it was FREEZING at a whopping 60 degrees (unbearable, right?) Since it’s late, I don’t have a lot of time to blog (i.e. type a lot), so I’ll show you what I did through pictures.

We went on a walk called "Playing Hooky in the Quartier Latin." We essentially just walked around one of my favorite parts of Paris (Latin Quarter) and took pictures. It was so fun! This is me at the Academie Francais.

After walking past the Academie, we found this empty niche and HAD to take pictures in it. They turned out cute, right?

Seeing as I live in the Highlands, I thought this was perfect for me!

Exploring Paris is so exciting!!!!

The Seine!

Les filles on Pont Neuf

They were looking at the Seine and I was creeping with my camera. I like this picture though!

According to Dr. Hudson, in the last Bourne Identity movie, Matt Damon is standing between the letters on the top of this building while the other guy is on Pont Neuf not far away. I don't remember it, but I fell asleep before I saw the end of the movie.

The skinniest street in Paris! Rue du chat qui peche.

The oldest cafe in Paris! Founded in 1686. Ben Franklin and Robespierre both dined here!

Towards the end of the walk, we saw this statue covered in paint that looked like blood. It's of Voltaire and we guessed that some student was upset that he/she had to learn about him and protested. The world may never know.
