So I had an epiphany this morning.
Since I have a lot of time in the mornings (now at least) before classes (they start at 2:00pm), why not tell everyone a little about what I see culture-wise here in Paris? I thought it was a fun idea at least...
Here's thought number 1:
For whatever reason, the biggest fashion trend here in Paris is this:
Short shorts with tights, heels, and a cute top. Oh, and a massive purse.
Why? Beats me. I guess it's people's way of keeping warm and refusing to put their shorts away for the winter. At least it's modest-ish I guess.
Thought #2:
The French listen to just about as much American music as they do French music. While Amy and I were grocery shopping yesterday, the music playing in the background was "S&M" by Rihanna. Then, while the protest was going on at L'Hotel de Ville, "Born this Way" by Lady Gaga was their protest music of choice. Represent America. Represent.
Last thought of the day:
We need better cheese in America. Seriously. Some of the cheeses here are like...the most amazing things ever! Except Roquefort. Keep that stuff FAR away.
