That was my goal today.
I woke up early to head into the city to meet Mckenna at the Institute building. We were both a little late, but met up in time to head back to the Opera House. Because the main room (grande salle) was closed when we went the first time, we got our tickets stamped to come back and see it. We were walking in when we saw a sign for a ballet called “Rain” being performed this week. We were curious to see how much the cheapest seats were and got in line to ask. They were only 12 Euros!!!! You know what that means? I, Rachel Ellen, get to see a performance in the Paris Opera House this Wednesday at 7:30pm!!!! Words cannot express my excitement!
We got to stand in one of the private boxes to take pictures
After the Opera House, it was off to shop for souvenirs for our families. My mom asked for some Michel Cluizel chocolate after this post, so that was stop #1 for the day. It was a little difficult to find, but we found it and got the goods. It came in a fancy wrapped bag and everything!
Then it was off to the Champs-Elysees to find some stuff for my dear siblings. I finished finding things for almost everyone! Funds were running low though, so the shopping day came to an early end.
This was my best friend today. TIP: Don't wear uncomfortable flip flops if you're walking all day in Paris! No matter how cute they are!
Who knew running around Paris all day in really uncomfortable shoes could be so exhausting? Apparently not me.
