Dear Elder Johnson...

Well, I knew it had to happen eventually. Yesterday Matthew reported to the MTC to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He will be at the MTC in Provo until the end of August and then he'll fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina for the remainder of his mission.

It was definitely a bittersweet thing saying goodbye to him, but I know he's where he needs to be. He'll be out serving the Lord and gaining a stronger testimony and I'll be all over the place trying to get my life in order by the time he gets home. Hopefully we'll both learn a lot and grow from each others experiences. It's actually kind of exciting to think about! I'll keep everyone posted on his progress and mine. Wish us luck!
