It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It’s the most wonderful (and stressful) time of the year once again! Finals are already underway and everyone is aching to get home for Christmas. It can’t come fast enough!

But, in the spirit of Christmas, my roommates and I decided to host an ugly Christmas sweater party last weekend! We sent out a Facebook invite and made sure that our apartment was all clean and ready to go. Speaking of our apartment, here’s a look at what it looks like on the inside! I’ve been waiting until it was spotless to take pictures and this was my chance.

Aubrey got a chocolate fountain for a graduation present in high school and that was the focus of our party. I mean, who doesn’t love a chocolate fountain?!

The first half an hour into a big party is the worst because all you can think about is, “Is anyone gonna come?” or “Watch there be like...3 people that show up.” The waiting is the worst part. But once people started showing up, it was great! We had between 50 and 60 of our friends show up to try out our chocolate fountain, and lots of them wore their ugly Christmas sweaters too! We did our best to be good hostesses and socialize with everyone, but it was hard. There were so many people there at once from old wards, new wards, work and school! But it was definitely a fun night and a great way to bring in the holidays with friends.

On Sunday, we had tickets to go and see the First Presidency Christmas Devotional in Salt Lake City. It was amazing!!!! We had excellent seats and it was great to spend some extra time with the roomies. Afterwards, Erika’s Aunt Sarah even invited us over for homemade caramels, hot chocolate, and cookies. It was so nice of her! Definitely an amazing way to start of December!
