So this is the first entry with my new and improved blog theme. Woo hoo! Hopefully I can stick with it and use my blog more than I did before.
Here goes:
Intuition
Today was my first day of work at my Papa's dental office in California. I woke up at 7:00am to make sure that I could get up in time to get ready and grab some breakfast. I put on my scrubs and the day began. Not knowing what to expect, I walked into the office ready to get to work. Mindy, the receptionist, quickly directed me to the files and handed me a huge stack of ledgers. I had to go through all of them and set aside the patients that were over 10 years old. Not only that, but I had to remove all of the staples from each file and restaple them. Sound simple? Well, the old receptionist (Donna) was a little bit staple happy, so I had some files with 20 or more staples in them. After going through hundreds of files, it seemed a little bit stressful. I was terrified to mess up on my first day!
But guess what happened
I was sitting in the break room working, stressing, and worrying when Mindy came in saying that I had a phone call. Who would be calling me at my grandpa's office? It must have been my mom or Nana...
Wrong.
I answered the phone to hear Matthew's voice. What a relief! I don't know whether he knew I was nervous and knew talking to him would calm me down, or if he was just being sweet and checking in on me. Heck, I don't even know how he got the office's phone number. BUT, regardless, it made my day.

He got it from your momma. I knew it would make you happy. I even checked with Nana to make sure it would be okay. Heck, I call and bug Papa all the time, so why shouldn't he call and make your day! However, he was the one to text and ask for it. He WAS thinking of you.... :-)
