You know how you always hope that something magical happens at least once during summer vacation?
Well I do.
And lucky for me, that very thing happened last weekend. No, I wasn't swept off my feet by some mystery man. I didn't go on any enchanting vacations to a tropical paradise. BUT, I did have a fantastic weekend with all of my best friends at the most AMAZING concert I have been to in my life. Even though we arrived at the Coldplay concert 3 hours early to get front row center (for the lawn section...) seats, it was completely worth everything. The heat. The crowds. The 60 bucks I spent on my ticket. Even the insanely overpriced smoothie I bought. Everything was perfect.
The opening acts were alright. I had never heard a band play a five minute harmonica solo before. I swear, the man next to us was about to chuck his soda towards the stage. And the French singers were pretty interesting too. But once we heard Life In Technicolor start, we went crazy! Coldplay put together a concert that I didn't even know could be done. Everything was so visually engaging! I had to take a picture or video of the set because it changed for each song. And for some songs, they had things fly around the audience (balloons, confetti, etc.) But the best part of the concert was that the band actually played songs IN the audience. They had a stage set up RIGHT next to where we were sitting. It was incredible! So incredible, in fact, that I'm running out of adjectives to describe how wonderful it was.
So there you have it. My little piece of magic for Summer 2009. And I got to share it with the best people ever. Thanks guys.

I had the best time. :) Thanks for always taking such good care of me when I'm in town!
That concert made me ALMOST consider missing our trip for it. Almost, but not quite.
I am very excited you are a blogger! Now I can follow your fabulous life while you're away at school.
